About Us
Located in the town’s historic center, the library is renowned for its extensive local history and genealogy collections.
Founded in July 1991 in the Veterans of Foreign Wars building and operated by volunteers, the library eventually moved to its current location.
WPLSC remains dedicated to enriching, educating, and bringing together the Westmoreland community.

WPLSC’s mission is to provide a variety of resources, innovative services, and enriching programs that engage, educate, and inspire our community. We serve as a crossroads for the community, offering safe, shared spaces where individuals from all walks of life can come together for learning, entertainment, connection, and fellowship. We are committed to the well-being and growth of our community, fostering an environment that encourages exploration, mutual respect, and collaboration.

The vision of the WPLSC is to provide a comfortable, welcoming space where the community will have access to a multitude of learning opportunities and entertainment choices through both traditional materials and emerging technologies in a dynamic center for the community.
