Director's Corner

Fall is shaping up to be an exciting season at Westmoreland Public Library!

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and we’ll be celebrating with special activities and a prize drawing. September also brings Star Trek 60th Anniversary activities, Grandparents’ Day Story Time, the Hobbit Party, Creative Connections, our Local Business Network gathering, and Pumpkin Decorating Contest, along with our regular programs for all ages.

October will be just as busy, with our Haunted Library Race on October 24 and Trick-or-Read on Halloween!

This fall, we’re also making some changes to our Children’s Area. New customized bookshelves will create a dedicated space for teens while giving our younger patrons more room to explore.

As our library grows, we’re finding new ways to make our programs, spaces, and services work better for our community.

There’s always something new happening at the library—and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
